Extracurricular-Activities

Fall and Spring

  • Start having more strategic conversations about your dreams and career goals.  Your plans may change but it’s always good to explore.
  • If you are bored in class and/or getting A’s and B’s with no problem, consider taking some advanced or honors level classes.  This will prepare you for advanced classes in high school.
  • If your plan is to go in a heavy math or science field, you should take Algebra I in the 7th or 8th grade in order to take Calculus and Physics by senior year.
  • Get a library card if you don’t have one and brush up on your reading.
  • Get involved in extra-curricular activities.  This will allow you to make new friends, discover new interests and have something positive and productive to do after school.
  • Do some volunteer work or work a summer camp.  Get involved at your local YMCA.
  • Talk to your parents about getting involved in PTA
